Counter Indicative Idiot
There has been some extraordinary advancement in the fitness industry over the years. Technology, in conjunction with research, has yielded more effective equipment and training methods that allow people to get the most out of their workouts. There are instances, however, where forward thinking gets lost and old perceptions continue to thrive. Take the old adage “no pain, no gain” for example. Sure this is a great mantra for elevating toughness and mental strength, but you should never feel pain while exercising - slight discomfort maybe – but not pain. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I am one for working hard and all. But if you want to toughen’ up and get in shape at the same time, you might as well do the right exercises and then when you’re done your workout get someone to give you a swift kick to the groin. At least this way you won’t sustain serious injury to your joints and muscles. You might be asking yourself, “What are the right exercises?” Well, there are thousands of them to choose from. And rather then try to explain all of them to you; there are few you should stay away from at all costs.
